An elephant solar light fixture, if you love animals this is a nice idea.

For this solar light fixture I used an elephant vase for the base I then used two different pieces of white milk glass.  I then added a metal cap on top which had a hole in the middle for the solar light.  I also added some black and gold trim for decoration.  The milk glass lights up at night. This piece reminds me of Africa.  You can do this with different vases be creative!

Some other solar light projects that I've done, an old coffee pot, green and blue glass globes on some, candle sticks etc.

These are some more solar lights I did from different pieces.  Starting on the left working to the right.  First one is a candlestick with a green glass globe and a piece off another lamp on top and beads.  You can see the solar light on top.  The second one is another candlestick and a square glass with flowers on it. I added some beads, marbles and tiles for decorations.  The third one is the solar light fixture That I already posted before this one.  The fourth one is a blue globe installed on a candlestick.  You can see the solar light on top.  The last one in line was an old coffee pot that I painted Gold.  I also added a decorative glass piece and then a coffee holder on top of that.  The solar light is on top, the word coffee lights up at night.  These are some more ideas for you.

A beautiful solar project made from cherub lamp and coffee holder

This is the Cherub lamp I started with and the glass coffee holder.  The first thing I did was take the wires out of the lamp.  I also took the handle off the coffee holder.

This is what the glass coffee holder looked like after taking off the handle.

I also used a piece off this item for on top of the lamp, which will hold the coffee glass holder.

I put all the pieces together using the threaded bar on the top of the lamp.  The next thing I did was to spray paint the whole thing with gold spray paint.

This is what it looked like after I spray painted it.

I then glued the glass coffee holder to the top with E6000, which works great for gluing. I added some trim on top and on the bottom.  I also added some flat bottom marbles for decoration.  I added some marbles to the inside of the glass coffee holder.

This is what it looks like in the dark with the solar light lit on top.  It looks like jewels inside the glass coffee holder.  I hope this gives you some ideas for the older lamps.
