In this photo you can see the front of the dollhouse. I painted it red, blue and a tan color. I added some details to the front to make it look pretty. On the top porch you can see two of the dolls standing there. This dollhouse opens from the front.
I wanted to make a different looking crib for the babies room. This used to be a cart on wheels. I first took off the wheels and added two pieces of wood for the leg part. I then added two pieces of shaped wood to the front and back of the crib which in the picture I painted them yellow. I also added two little circles one to the front and one on the back, you can see it in the photo its painted red and yellow. I then added a piece off a ship on the bed as you can see. I made a mattress out of a piece of foam wrapped in a baby blanket material. I made a pillow out of foam wrapped in material. You can see that I painted it red and yellow.
this is the babies room. I also put a hanging item hanging off the ceiling above the crib. This has birds which hang from it. Babies like things hanging over the crib so I added it. I added shells on the wall, the bedroom is painted a coral color. I went with an ocean theme for this room.
this is a closeup of the hanging bird item I made over the crib. On the wall by the crib you can see a boat anchor in a frame. What I did was go to the dollar store and purchased large hoop earrings, these are what I used for frames. I also added an anchor picture in the middle of it.
This is another one of the hoop earrings which I added a picture of a sea captain in the middle. Earrings make great frames for in a dollhouse. All you need to do is add a picture in the middle.
This is the bathroom area in this dollhouse. I put wallpaper on the walls and fake tiles on the bottom. the tiles come in sheets for dollhouses. I also added a little hook on the wall that holds a towel. I put some butterflies on the wall, little minature sconces with little candles in them. Over the tub I added some rectangular mirrors with a flower in the middle of them. The bathtub used to be a ashtray. I put contact paper on the floor which looks like a marble flooring material.
This is the sink which used to be a little martini glass and a piece off another project I took apart for the sink area. I added two pieces of plastic for knobs and faucet. I spray painted the base cameo color and the faucets silver. As you can see you can use small glasses to make a sink for a bathroom in a dollhouse.

Everyone calls this my trade mark, This is the solar TV for this dollhouse. It lights up at night, it really looks like someone is watching TV.
This is another one of the bedrooms in this dollhouse, I painted the room a dark purple color and put some trim around the top. You can use decorative ribbon trim for the top of the walls in a dollhouse, it gives it a different look. Keep watching my blog I will be adding more picture from this dollhouse as I'm doing the rooms.
