Making a solar powered TV for a dollhouse out of a jewelry box drawer

In this picture you can see the drawer from a jewelry box and pieces from a picture frame.  I cut the frame to fit around the jewelry box drawer.

The first thing I did was print out a picture from a movie and gluing it to the top of the drawer.

I then glue the frame that I cut to fit the top of the drawer.

In this picture you can see I painted the whole tv.  I made a tv antenna out of a piece of wood and toothpicks.  You can see it lit up.  The solar light can be seen lighting up the picture.  I drilled a hole in the back of the drawer and inserted a solar light

Making a fake stained glass window for a dollhouse

In this picture you can see a picture of a deer that I cut out of a magazine that I mod podged onto a piece of cardboard.  I connected a piece of a necklace chain to the cardboard with hot glue.

This is the other side of the cardboard which I glued on a picture of flowers.  I painted a black marking around the pictures on both sides.

This is a decorative piece off an earring, I also used a piece of the earring that goes through your ear.  They are both put together to use for the stained glass holder, the chain goes on the earring hook.  This gets glued onto the wall above the window.

With the curtains up, this is what the stained glass window looks like.  Just think of the stained glass windows you could make for your dollhouse.

Making a fake mirror with a seat for a dollhouse

The first thing I do is make a solid back and a frame for around the top portion.  I make the back longer so the seat can be glued onto it. I make them out of cardboard.

First take a container bottom from coffe cake and glue it to the top of the cardboard backing.  These will be the mirrors.

Next glue the frame on them.

You need to take two wood jenga blocks and glue them together, this will be the seats.

In this picture you will see I covered them with red felt and added lace to cover the seams. Next to glue the seats to the mirrors.

When they are glued together you have a hallway seat.  I also added a piece of jewelry to the bottom.

How to make a fake stained glass window for a dollhouse.

First go on the Internet and print out a picture off images of a stained glass window you want to use.  As you can see I also made a frame for the window out of a pizza box.  I also take a piece of plastic from a container that held Danish.  I glued the picture onto the plastic with mod podge.  Just make sure the picture has the plastic glued to it. Now glue the frame over the plastic.

Now it is ready to glue to the window opening.

Making Windows frames out of a pizza box for dollhouses

These are the Windows that needed window frames around them.

This is the cardboard from a pizza box.

This is a template I made off of one of the Windows.  I cut it out of a piece of cardboard.  Once you cut this template out keep it for making more of them.

This is cut from a pizza box.  I also added some plastic on it from a plastic carry home container.  I use plastic containers to make Windows.  I glue them together with tacky glue.

This is what they look like once they are all cut with plastics added.  Next blog will be how I made the stained glass window in the middle window.

Dishes for a dollhouse made from poker chips

I used an engraver to make a design on the chips.

After engraving a design on the chips I smothered gold paint all over the chips and wiped off the gold paint some of the paint will stay in the grooves.

Making a dollhouse bed from two different wood boxes

These are the two boxes that I used.  One of the boxes opens up with a hinge, the other is just a bottom piece of a box.  The first thing I did was take off the hinges off the one box, the top of this box will be the headboard of a bed.  The bottom of the box will be a bookcase. The other box will be the bed frame.

In this picture on the left is the bookcase, I took the pieces of wood that were on the inside and turned them into shelves. The decorative pieces came off a wooden hand fan. There is also lace on the top edge.  On the right is the bed which still needs a mattress and blanket and pillow, I will post it when it is finished.  I used a piece off a necklace for a decoration, pieces of a wooden fan and lace.

How to make tea cups a plates for your dollhouse from battery candles, poker chips

This is a battery operated candle which you will be using.

First take the bottom off the candle.  Then take out the metal on the inside, I used plyiers and a pick.

On the side of the candle you will see this which is the part that holds on the suction cup.  I used a razor knife to take it off. This will be the handle for your tea cup.

In this picture is the handle glued on.

Here are two different kind of chips, one is a poker chip and the other is a bingo chip.

I painted both to match the tea cups.

This is what the finished cup and saucer look like.  You can make the cups and saucers any color you want for your dollhouse.  You could also add stickers on the plate and cup if you want. The bingo chip can be a dessert dish.

Making two minature pots for a dollhouse out of a baby formula scooper

This is the type of scooper I am talking about.

Here's what the scooper looks like to start off.

In this picture you can see I cut the scooper in half through the middle.  I also cut the handle in half.  The next thing you need to do is glue the other handle on the other piece that doesn't have a handle yet.

This is what it will look like upside down with the handle glued on.

You will need to add a piece of foam on the bottom of the pot.

This is what both the pots will look like.  Time to spray paint them with a copper color.

Here they are, you can make them any color you would want them.

How to make a decorative piece that lights up with a solar light for your dollhouse

In this picture you will see pieces from a hose connection and little glass balloons.

The first thing you do is glue the balloon into the hose connection piece.

Next you need the top of a solar light piece which you can buy for 97 cents in Walmart.

In this picture you can see it lit up with the solar light.

This is a green one.
