Curtains for a dollhouse on a decorative curtain rod

This is what the curtain looks like when it's finished.

First thing you need is a piece of a dowel the size for the window.  Make sure you make it a little longer on both sides for decorative pieces on the ends.

Next use wide lace to make the first layer on the top.  Glue it to the dowel.  Make sure you leave some space on both sides for the caps on the ends.

Add some trim to the top over the other lace.

Then add another piece of lace under the first layer.

I then added another piece of decorative lace over the green one.

In the dollar store they sell chess games, these are two of the pawns, I'm going to cut off the top part off each to use for the ends of the curtain rods.

You can see in this picture the parts I cut off.  You might have to reopen the ends they close when your cutting them.

The pawn pieces go right over the ends of the dowel.  Your curtains are now ready for hanging.  You can glue them up over the window, or try to be brave and make a holder to hold them up.
