Making shutters for the dollhouse I'm working on

This is what I'm using for making the shutters

First I had to cut the pieces down to size, I cut it into a square and then down the middle for the size I needed.  Don't worry if its not perfect you will see why in a minute.

Here's the two pieces out of the square piece.

Now take some Popsicle sticks or smaller wooden stirrer and put a stick across the middle top and bottom, then the sides.

This is what they look like painted.  You can add anything to the shutters if you want, maybe wooden stars in the middle etc.  use your imagination.
