Making a minature ambo, church item

This is an ambo, it's where a person does the reading in church.  Now to show you how to make it.

You start by gluing two pieces or rectangle blocks together.

Then you take a dowel and cut four pieces to glue to the corners of the stand.

Next you are going to take a Popsicle stick and cut off the ends and then cut it down the middle length ways.

You then take a scrabble wooden piece, your going to cut a piece of the Popsicle stick the same size as one side of the square piece as you will see in the next picture.

The Popsicle stick piece gets glued on the top not the side.

This is the side view.

Next take a piece of a matchstick and cut it to the same size of the scrabble tile and center it on the top of the stand as shown in the picture.

The scrabble piece gets glued down to the matchstick and down onto the stand.  It should be going downhill.

This is a side view.

Next take a clothes pin like the one in the picture.  You need to cut it in the area you can see in the picture.

Next take a yellow color dowel and cut a piece so it looks like a long light.  This will be getting glued in the areas you will see in the next picture.

The clothes pin gets glued in the front area of the stand on the scrabble piece.

This is another view.

Make sure that the downhill area is where the bible should be going down onto the popsiclesticks. The bible can be made with a piece of foam board cut to the size you need, download off images on the internet of a bible.  Glue the picture onto the foam board and paint the edges where you would see pages with gold paint. The spine gets painted black and so does the back.

The other side I added a cross sticker and a picture downloaded off the internet.

For the step up you are going to glue a plastic domino on it.  This domino is from a game of domino looking pieces that you can line up and make them fall down.  After this make sure it's painted gold, but not the bible or the yellow light.

This is the finished project.
